Traditionally, seniors across America customize their senior gear. This year’s graduating class is no different.

They have ordered 2011 class T-shirts with their creativity and individuality. The Class Board decides what goes on the shirts passed out toward the end of the year. This year’s shirt features a countdown of the Top 11 reasons - 11 for the Class of 2011 - they’re happy to be leaving high school. Here’s the countdown from the shirts:

11. No more hiding the fact that we don’t know what pronouns are.

10. No more beating our parents to the mailbox for report cards.

9. No more ringing the door bell to get into school.

8. No more skipping on test days.

7. Air conditioning in the winter and heat in May and September

6. So we can go to the bathroom without raising our hands.

5. No more sneaking out of school during lunch time.

4. No more hall sweeps.

3. We are tired of texting beneath our desks.

2. No more 2-day suspensions for an untucked shirt.

1. No more matriculating to the auditorium for Blue Jay meetings.

Although I’m sure they’ll celebrate the exit of their high school careers, all the fond memories that they’ve shared over the past years will always remain in the hallways at Southfield High School.

I love the top eleven reasons because they apply to a majority of 2011 seniors from all over the United States. Although I do not go to Southfield High School, I am able to relate to things like hall sweeps and the school turning on the AC in the middle of winter. This article definately assured me of how glad I am to be leaving but how sad I will be to leave my friends and our memories behind.
